Today would have been my father’s 75th birthday. He died from prostate cancer in 1992 and the pain and sadness of that loss, though tempered by time, will be with me until the end of my own life.
My father gave me the greatest gift a parent can give a child: unconditional love and acceptance. Every day I do my best to pass that gift on to my own children.
