Stitchpattern sample 1

Multiple of 6 + 5.

Base row: 1 tr in 4th ch from hook and all subsequent ch to end of row.

1. row: Miss first 3 sts, 1 rtr in next st, 1 tr in each of last 2 missed sts, * miss next st, 1 tr in each of the next 2 sts, 1rtr in missed st, miss 2 sts, 1 rtr in next st, 1 tr in each of 2 missed sts; repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 tr in turning ch, turn with 3 ch.

2. row: Miss first st, 1 tr in each st to end of row. Turn with 3 ch.

3. row: Miss 2 st, 1 tr in each of next 2 sts, 1 rtr in 2nd missed st, * miss 2 sts, 1 rtr in ext st, 1 tr in each of missedsts, miss 1 st, 1 tr in each of next 2 sts, 1 rtr in missed st; repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 tr in turning ch. Turn with 3 ch.

4. row: as 2. row.

Repeat rows 1 - 4.


Stitchpattern sample 2

Multiple of 4.

Base row: 1 dc in 2. ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end of row. Turn with 1 ch.

1. row: 1 dc in each st. Turn with 1 ch.

2. row: * 1 dc in next 3 sts, 1 long dc in next st by inserting hook in corr st 2 rows down; repeat from * to end of row. End with 3 dc and turn with 1 ch.

3. row: as 1. row.

4. row: 1 dc, * 1 long dc in next st by inserting hook in corr st 2 rows down, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts; repeat from * to end of row. End with 1 dc and turn with 1 ch.

Repeat rows 1 - 4.

For a variation of this pattern, place the long dc's on top of each other.


Stitchpattern sample 3

Multiple of 3.

Base row: 1 tr in 4. ch from hook, 1 tr in each subsequent ch. Turn with 2 ch.

1. row: (back) Miss 1 st, * 1 rtr in each of next 2 sts, 1 tr in next st; repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 tr in turning ch. Turn with 2 ch.

2. row: Miss 1 st, * 1 tr in each of next 2 sts, 1 rtr in next st; repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 tr in turning ch. Turn with 1 ch.

Repeat rows 1 -2.


Stitchpattern sample 4

CLOQUÉ PATTERN

Multiple of 8 + 1

Base row: Miss first 4 ch, 3 dtr in next ch. * Miss 3 ch, 1 dc in next st, miss 3 ch, 3 dtr in next st, 1 ch, 3 dtr in ch just before the 3 sts just made; repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 dc. Turn with 4 ch.

1. row: 3 dtr in last dc on prev row, * 1 dc in ch btw 2 grps of sts, 3 dtr in dtr right after dc on prev row, 1 ch, 3 dtr in dtr just before dc on prev row (these 3 sts are worked behind the grp of sts just worked); * repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 dc around turning ch. Turn with 4 ch.

Repeat row 1.


Stitchpattern sample 5

Multiple of 8 + 3

Base row: 1 tr in 3rd ch from hook, 1 tr in each subsequent ch. Turn with 2 ch.

1. row: Miss 1 st, * 1 rtr in each of next 4 sts, 1 rtr worked from behind in each of next 4 sts; repeat from * to end of row, ending with 1 tr in turning ch. turn with 2 ch.

2. row: As 1. row.

3. row: Miss 1 st, * 1 rtr worked from behind in each of next 4 sts, 1 rtr in each of next 4 sts; repeat from * to end of row , ending with 1 tr in turning ch. Turn with 2 ch.

4. row: As 3. row

This pattern is easily varied by changing the stitch multiple and/or no of similar rows worked.

CROISSANT PATTERN

Any uneven number of stitches.

Base row: 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end of row. turn with 1 ch.

1. row: * 1 dc, 1 dc around next dc from row below; repeat from * to end of row. Turn with 1 ch.

Repeat row 1.
